The Natural Pod team is soon heading off to the Green Schools Conference and Expo in Portland next week. We can’t wait to re-connect with familiar faces, and are excited to make new connections.

The Green Schools Conference & Expo is the only national event to bring together all the players involved in making green schools a reality: people who lead, operate, build and teach in U.S. schools. The three day conference program offers inspiring keynote speakers, informative workshops, breakout sessions and the chance to network with colleagues from across the country.

As many of you know, Natural Pod is all about collaboration, so this year we are collaborating with Green Schools National Network (GSNN) themselves and Shaw Contract in one large booth together. That way we can be a hub for multi-level conversations around environmental impact, health impact and environmental and sustainability literacy within schools. These innovative discussions are at the core of moving the green schools movement forward. We’d love to see you there at Booth 111.

Our founder and CEO, Bridgitte Alomes is thrilled to be a session presenter at this conference. She is collaborating with two outstanding education heroes from West Virginia; Tarabeth Heineman from Marshall University Early Education STEAM Center, and Ryan McKenzie from Explorer Academy. Together they’ll be exploring the topic of ‘Inspiring Culture Shift Through a Multifaceted Approach’ on Tuesday, March 3rd between 3-4pm. It’s sure to be an insightful and interactive activity-based session. We’d love to see you there!

By the end of the session :

  • You will be able to describe specific practices and design initiatives that lead to significant culture shifts.
  • You will be able to apply culture shift ideas to your personal context.
  • You will be able to articulate how a focus on culture must include attention to equity and diversity.
  • You will be able to describe how integrated learning can lead to global citizenship and sustainability practices.

Please join us for our session ‘Inspiring Culture Shift Through a Multifaceted Approach’ on Tuesday March 3rd | 3 – 4pm at The Green Schools Conference & Expo, in Portland, Oregon
