We recently had the pleasure of receiving an update from the amazing MU Early Education STEAM Center, located on the campus of Marshall University in West Virginia – showing how their Natural Pod learning environment is supporting their program.
The program at the MUEE Steam Center exists to promote a child-initiated, teacher supported curriculum in which children’s curiosities about the environment are supported, encouraged and explored. This allows for an exchange between teacher and child in which both explore, experiment, and solve problems and questions relevant to daily life.
Right from the outset the Center had a strong vision of the natural, sustainable and flexible learning environment they hoped to create for their young learners. Natural Pod was very honoured to work with them all the way through the process to bring that vision to life. It’s wonderful to see the outcome and how the children’s learning environment is supporting their creativity.
Natural Pod’s classroom designs and furniture support children, whether age two or eighteen, in exploring the ways they learn best. Through our products we encourage children to trust-in and discover their abilities and creativity by creating an environment that supports hands-on learning, movement, collaboration and flexibility.
