We help create 21st century learning and play environments for educators and students. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant / Coordinator  to join our marketing growing team and to support our Director of Marketing. We’ve invested heavily in digital marketing to increase the impact of our work and grow our business supporting educators around the world. We want to deepen that impact and increase the growth of our business and are seeking a talented candidate who wants to be part of this ongoing transformation with us.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development of campaign strategies
  • Planning, developing, managing and scheduling fresh and compelling social media marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for day-to-day online review response management (responding to all reviews, flagging negative reviews for follow up, and escalating difficult reviews)
  • Execute tactics to help increase engagement, likes, and followers
  • Engaging with and supporting customer community relationships in social media / digital channels
  • Engaging with our community as our brand in online groups, forums and community spaces
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and grow as an internal subject matter expert
  • Creative brainstorming with marketing director to contribute valuable ideas to current campaigns
  • Supporting email marketing and display/search advertising campaigns
  • Supporting analytics tracking and marketing performance reporting
  • Supporting content marketing and campaign development and editorial calendar management
  • Help develop strategies to drive website traffic
  • Assist tracking and project managing content marketing initiatives, creative production, photography
  • Assist in managing online store product information, photography
  • Support keyword monitoring and research
  • Support event planning, scheduling, print collateral preparation

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years marketing experience with a focus on digital marketing skills
  • Experience in education/learning/manufacturing an asset
  • Known for your passion of all things digital, with a desire to build a career in digital marketing
  • Strong experience with social marketing platforms and social marketing management tools
  • Strong Google Suite/Apps and/or Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Introductory understanding of digital technology, SEO, image optimization
  • Experience with content management platforms, preferably WordPress
  • Experience with Google Analytics and/or willingness to learn
  • Experience with Facebook Business/Advertising, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google AdWords
  • Strong graphic skills applicable to producing presentation material, brochures, and other marketing material
  • Entry level proficiency with Photoshop/Canva will be required to assist creative management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Ability to complete detailed tasks with precision and timeliness
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Able to work independently in a trustworthy and professional manner
  • Professional demeanour coupled with a great sense of humour and a growth mindset

Ideally this candidate is based Vancouver/Victoria, BC, Canada are but we’re open to other locations based on experience and ability to work remotely. This is a full time position.
