My favorite quote of last week came from a Mom who said she’s not a writer…
I am not much of a writer, but when I saw the news of the give away doll house, I thought right away of the Mount Pleasant Family Centre, a non-profit organization in East Vancouver welcoming families in their “house” almost every day since 1976. My son Nico spent a lot of time there and the philosophy behind the Centre is “A Home Away from Home” (http://www.mpfamilycentre.ca/). They have almost finished a new “playhouse” area and I was struck by the image of a matryoshka “house”… They (and of course the kidlets!) would surely appreciate such a beautiful toy, a sculpture really.
