Terms, Conditions + Our Lifetime Warranty

We stand behind our craft with a lifetime promise on our manufactured wood elements and tiered support for our curated partners.

1. Scope of Coverage: Natural Pod warrants to the original purchaser that all manufactured wood furniture elements (the “Goods”) shall be free from material defects in design, material, and workmanship under normal use for the lifetime of the product.
2. Warranty Durations:
   • Natural Pod™ Manufactured Wood Elements: Lifetime Warranty. Applies to all structural wood components designed and manufactured by Natural Pod.
   • LifeSpace Journey Garden Elements: Three (3) Year Limited Warranty on self-watering systems and cedar components.
   • Hardware & Components: One (1) Year Limited Warranty for hinges, drawer slides, casters, acrylics, and electrical components.
3. Third-Party “Pass-Through” Warranties: For any products not manufactured by Natural Pod or listed above, the original manufacturer’s warranty applies. Natural Pod will act as your advocate and liaison to assist with any warranty claims, though final remedies are provided by the specific manufacturer.

We work with honest, natural materials. Variations in grain and tone are what we call “the fingerprints of nature.” To maintain the authenticity of our solid wood pieces, the following are not considered defects under our warranty:

• Natural Variations: Differences in wood grain, figure, character marks, or the matching of colors/textures.
• The Patina of Time: Changes in surface finishes due to natural aging or exposure to light.
• Textile Character: Minor variations in color fastness or matching of textiles to swatch cards.
• Wear & Tear: Defects or failures resulting from normal wear and tear over years of active use.
• “As-Is” Items: Any elements sold or labeled as “As-Is” at the time of purchase.

Heirloom quality is a partnership. Proper care and assembly ensure your furniture elements remain safe and beautiful for generations. The Lifetime and Product-Specific warranties do not apply in the following circumstances:

• Assembly Compliance: Assembly must follow provided instructions exactly. The use of wood glue (where provided) is mandatory. Failure to use glue during assembly voids the Lifetime Warranty regarding structural stability.
• Maintenance: Natural wood is a living material. The Customer is responsible for maintaining a stable indoor environment (recommended 35%–55% humidity) to prevent warping or cracking.
• Environmental Exposure: Products exposed to extreme environmental conditions, improper storage, or damage from water and liquids.
• Intended Use: Elements that were not used for their intended purpose or by the age group for which they were designed.
• Non-Structural Items: Soft furnishings (cushions) and manipulatives are excluded from the lifetime wood warranty.

If an element does not meet our Heirloom standard, we are committed to making it right efficiently.

In the event of a valid warranty claim, Natural Pod will:

• Repair or Replace: At our discretion, we will repair the defective part or replace the product in its entirety.
• Shipping & Transport: Natural Pod will cover standard transport costs for replacement parts from our facility to the original delivery location. Travel costs for the purchaser are not covered.
• Design Continuity:* We reserve the right to replace defective parts with components of a comparable or updated design if the original is no longer in production.
• Equivalency: If an exact replacement is unavailable, Natural Pod reserves the right to provide a comparable replacement product or store credit.

We partner with you to ensure your elements arrive safely and ready for use.

• Inspection Requirement: Upon delivery, the Customer must inspect all Goods. Any visible damage to packaging must be noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of receipt.
• Claims Window: Shortages or damage not visible at the time of delivery must be reported to Natural Pod in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. Failure to notify Natural Pod within this window constitutes acceptance of the Goods.
• Risk of Loss: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the risk of loss passes to the Customer upon delivery to the specified shipping address.

We offer a 14-day window to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new heirloom elements. Natural Pod stands behind every product we create. If you are not satisfied, please contact us within 14 days of receipt.

• Unassembled Returns: Providing the product is in its original condition and remains unassembled, we will arrange for a full refund of the product price. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
• Assembled Returns: Items returned within the 14-day window that have already been assembled are subject to a 10% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
• Return Logistics: All shipping costs to return the product, and any fees related to repackaging the items for safe transit, are at the purchaser’s expense.
• Custom Orders: Items designated as “Custom,” “Specialty,” or “Made-to-Order” are non-cancellable and non-refundable once production has commenced.

This section outlines our transactional process for quotes, deposits, and final payments.

• Ordering Finality: Approved Purchase Orders, payment of a deposit, or payment of the full Purchase Price constitutes irrevocable acceptance of the terms and authorization for Natural Pod to process the order and/or commence production.
• Currency: All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless specifically stated otherwise on the estimate or invoice.
• Taxes & Duties: The Customer is responsible for all taxes, duties, and charges by any federal, provincial, territorial, state, or local governmental entity.
• Payment Terms: Invoices must be paid in full prior to shipping unless alternative terms have been pre-approved in writing. All past-due invoices will be subject to late charges.

The “Fine Print”—standard legal protections for both parties.

• Limitation of Liability:  In no event shall Natural Pod be liable for any consequential indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or lost profits. Natural Pod’s aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific goods giving rise to the claim.
• Force Majeure: Natural Pod is not liable for delays or failures resulting from acts beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, pandemic, or supply chain disruptions.
• Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and Canada.
