We Don't Stop When the Furniture Arrives. Neither Should You

Natural Pod stays with you long after installation — with coaching, educator support, and professional learning built around the way your educators actually teach. Because furniture is only as good as the learning happening around it.

Support With Every Project | In-Person + Virtual | Space Configuration | Flexible-Furniture Pedagogy | Student Transition Support

Support, coaching, and educator resources are part of how Natural Pod works with every center and school — shaped around your space, your educators, and the way they teach.

professional hero

Natural Pod is a sustainable educational furniture company based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, that offers post-occupancy professional development — coaching and support for educators — as part of its standard service.

For Natural Pod, the furniture is only the beginning of the relationship: the company stays involved well after a classroom is finished. After installation, Natural Pod’s team offers coaching and support covering how to configure a space for different learning modes, how to use multifunctional and flexible classroom furniture to support a school’s specific pedagogy, and how to help students transition into a redesigned classroom.

This support is available for every Natural Pod project, from a single classroom or childcare center to a multi-school district program, and is shaped around each center or school’s learning and implementation goals. To learn what that support can look like for your project, connect with Natural Pod’s team.

What the Support Can Look Like

card 1

Configuring the Space for Different Learning Modes

A flexible learning space can support many different configurations, which means educators need a practical place to begin.

Natural Pod can walk educators through a starting set of arrangements for their specific room and furniture, with setups for whole-group instruction, collaborative work, independent focus, and project-based learning. It gives them something practical to build from.

card 2

Using Multifunctional Furniture to Support Your Pedagogy

Multifunctional furniture expands what a learning space can do. But a single piece of versatile furniture — like our Share™ Bench — won’t magically transform an art space into a STEM lab overnight, just like hanging a whiteboard doesn’t automatically create a great lesson.

True flexibility comes from intentional design. Natural Pod pieces are built to move seamlessly across age groups, subjects, and activities, empowering educators to shape the physical environment around their unique pedagogy and the evolving needs of their learners.

card 3

Helping Students Transition Into a Redesigned Environment

Changing a classroom is a disruption, even when the change is a good one. Students and educators used to fixed rows or static layouts can find open, choice-based arrangements overwhelming at first.

Natural Pod offers best practices and practical strategies to ease the transition: how to set norms around flexible seating and alternative work surfaces, how to provide structure for learners who need it, and how to support the class through the first few weeks as the new setup becomes familiar.

Most Suppliers Deliver the Furniture and Leave.

For Natural Pod, Furniture Is Just the Beginning

Meaningful post-installation support requires an understanding of both the furniture and the pedagogy behind it. That understanding starts with how each product is created. Every Natural Pod product is developed in collaboration with an educator, based on the real needs of learners and learning spaces.

Educators need more than adaptable products. They need practical guidance for using each space with intention.

This goes beyond a follow-up call. It’s coaching from Natural Pod’s team, shaped around the specific room, the products included, and the vision for each space.

In-Person + Virtual Support

Natural Pod’s coaching and advisory support are shaped around your schedule, project scope, and educators. Whether you need an on-site workshop before or after installation, a structured training session, or an informal Q&A for individual educators or whole departments, each interaction is tailored to your center or school. The goal is to give educators the confidence and guidance to use their learning environment with intention.

The Best Support Starts With a Great Design Consultation

Support and coaching work best when the room is designed intentionally from the start, with furniture arranged around the learning modes educators want to support. That intentional design begins with the free consultation.

support
What is post-installation support for educators?

Our support doesn’t end when the furniture arrives. Natural Pod provides hands-on coaching for educators after installation, supporting them as they configure flexible layouts, integrate furniture into their daily pedagogy, and guide learners through the transition into a redesigned environment. It’s how we support lasting value from your investment.

Is the support included in the cost of the furniture?

The level of support is shaped around each project. During your initial design consultation, we’ll talk through your vision, identify the guidance your educators may need, and clarify what is included in your project plan.

What does the support actually cover?

Support may cover space configuration, best-practice arrangements for the room and grade level, flexible-furniture pedagogy, collaborative and independent learning, student transitions, and educator resources. This can include product-specific guidance and lesson plan starters shared with the centers and schools we work with.

How long does a session run?

We shape our support around what your team needs most. Throughout the project, we’ll identify which coaching and resources will be most useful and tailor a plan to your project’s scope. Session length and structure vary by project and are confirmed during the design consultation.

Is the support available for small projects as well as large district programs?

Yes. Support is available for projects of every size, from a single learning space to a multi-school district program. The guidance is tailored to the room, the learners’ ages, the products included, and the school’s specific context.

Are virtual options available?

Yes. Support is available both in person and virtually, depending on what works best for your center or school. Virtual support can work well for individual educators or whole departments and is often the easiest to schedule. On-site workshops can be arranged when they are a better fit for the project.

Do you offer any PD-hour accreditation or documentation?

Not yet, but please reach out to talk through what you need. We’re continuing to develop Natural Pod’s coaching and educator-support offering.

How does support fit into the project timeline?

Many schools schedule support during the first few weeks after installation, but coaching is available at different stages of the project — from the initial design conversations to later in the space’s life. Connect with our Solutions Team to develop a support plan shaped around your educators and learners.
