Natural Pod is a Certified B Corporation

As a Certified B Corporation in the education furniture community, we are proud to be recognized as part of a global movement championing an inclusive, fair, and regenerative economy.
We believe that sustainability is a complex and wide-reaching term. “Being sustainable” is more than stamping certifications on product labels and marketing materials. We believe it’s about evaluating each thing we do, and asking ourselves, “Is this the best thing for the people and the planet? How could we do better?”
What does this certification mean for you? When partnering with Natural Pod to transform your learning space, you’re supporting business and people with shared values. You’re part of the change we hope to create by setting an example for how good business, meaningful relationships, and impactful learning spaces can exist in harmony.
“Certified B Corporations are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. Unlike other certifications for businesses, B Lab is unique in our ability to measure a company’s entire social and environmental impact.” – B Lab
This mentality was our reason for seeking B Corporation Certification. Not for the logo usage rights, but for the high standards of performance, accountability, and transparency they incorporate into their certification process to measure social and environmental impact. This certification has challenged us to understand where we are, define where we want to go, and have a roadmap for how we can get there.
“Receiving the B Corp Certification is an accomplishment our team is proud to share with you; our community. Thank you for being part of this journey, by sharing values of supporting children and educators, and doing this great work of creating learning spaces that matter.”– Bridgitte Alomes, CEO + Founder of Natural Pod
Moving forward, this certification will be a reminder that we care all the way through the organization. That we’re here to make a difference.
This is our starting point, not our stopping point.

What does B Corp Certification mean to you as an educator and learning provider?

B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials. In order to achieve certification, a company must:
- Demonstrate high social and environmental performance by achieving a B Impact Assessment score of 80 or above and passing our risk review. Multinational corporations must also meet baseline requirement standards.
- Make a legal commitment by changing their corporate governance structure to be accountable to all stakeholders, not just shareholders, and achieve benefit corporation status if available in their jurisdiction.
- Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
