At Natural Pod, the belief in creating learning environments that nurture the whole child—fostering well-being, movement, and a deep connection to the natural world—is central. This ethos has led to a deepening collaboration with Sloflo World, a fellow Canadian company echoing Natural Pod’s core values of sustainability, wellness, and community. What makes this partnership especially noteworthy is that both Natural Pod and Sloflo are proudly led by female founders, forging a path for conscious business rooted in shared principles.

This collaboration transcends a combination of products; it aligns two companies with a radical concept of wholeness at their heart. Natural Pod brings nature into schools via their natural, multifunctional furniture elements while creating intentional learning spaces where children can truly thrive. Sloflo, as founder Dina Moati explains, takes a holistic approach to wellness — for the self, for others (community), and for Mother Earth.

Women-Led, Canadian Roots

Both Natural Pod and Sloflo emerged from the vision and passion of women entrepreneurs who identified a need for more mindful and sustainable solutions in their respective fields. This shared leadership provides a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in building purpose-driven businesses. Their Canadian roots further strengthen this bond, allowing for a focus on ethical practices and community engagement.

Circular Sustainability and Wellness

The commitment to sustainability is where Natural Pod and Sloflo truly resonate. Natural Pod crafts durable, natural wood furniture that minimizes environmental impact and creates nature-inspired, neutral canvases for learning. Sloflo’s dedication to sustainability is equally impressive. Dina shares that they “meticulously source dead stock and end-of-roll fabrics – these would have otherwise ended in landfills. Instead, they are transformed into new handcrafted products that look good and do good!”

This intentionality extends to every detail, including saving threads for potential future use, embodying a true circular economy mindset.

“Everything that we do is really intentional and purposeful in a way that reduces waste, reuses and recycles.” —Dina Moati, CEO + Founder, Sloflo World

Wellness is central to both company’s missions. Natural Pod’s natural, non-toxic wood furniture encourages movement, flexibility of use, and a sense of calm through its neutral colors and curved edges. Similarly, Sloflo’s products are designed with care for the self and nature, using no chemicals or harsh additives, as seen in their meditation cushions made with raw, unbleached cotton.

Beyond individual wellness, both companies are deeply committed to their community. Sloflo actively contributes to charities, supports women’s shelters, and prioritizes employing women, particularly from underserved groups. They often host wellness events and engage in equity work, truly living their values of giving back. Natural Pod creates community art activations, has offered pro bono furniture for childcare spaces to support families, and works with partner organizations to support equitable learning spaces.

Exciting Collaborations on the Horizon

This collaboration has already yielded beautiful products like natural cotton rectangular cushions, that serve as seating for the multifunctional Evergreen Shelving, where even the smallest fabric offcuts are thoughtfully incorporated.

What’s next? Both companies are excited about new initiatives, including the upcoming launch of a new floor cushion in Natural Pod’s Cloud family of soft furnishings. Both companies see immense potential in showcasing the intentionality behind their products and highlighting how two like-minded, women-led, Canadian companies are coming together to create a more sustainable, wellness-focused, and inspiring world for children and communities.

“Collaborating with SloFlo has been an absolute pleasure. Their excellent communication, infectious positivity, and unwavering commitment to sustainability make them an ideal partner. We’re excited about what lies ahead in this partnership!” —Dalynn Wingard, Fulfillment Manager, Natural Pod
