Project profiles: a collection of intentional spaces.

These learning environments span early childhood, elementary, middle and high school, as well as libraries and common spaces. Each one reflects the unique vision of the people behind it—educators and leaders committed to creating spaces that truly support learning. When environments are thoughtfully designed with flexibility and sustainability in mind, they make room for creativity, connection, and community to take root.

These projects show what’s possible when design serves pedagogy—at every age and stage. Click each project image to explore these innovative learning spaces further.

Daycare + Early Learning

Our early childhood furniture and learning environments set the stage for curiosity and creativity, the perfect ingredients for young learners to reach their full potential. This very young age group also need their spaces to be welcoming and comforting. Natural Pod environments supply that by bringing in elements of the outside world in a beautiful way. Our safe, non-toxic furniture provides the feel and warmth of wood allowing children to feel safe and calm, while providing inspiring spaces where they’re excited to play and learn.

Preschool + Kindergarten

Our flexible furniture pieces are perfect for creating learning environments for this age range. As well as supporting curriculums, their multifunctionality also encourages open-ended play. A bench can be a train or a plane, a table can become a cave or a fort. Wherever children’s imaginations take them, our sustainable, student-focused furniture can support them in work and play. It’s also a great introduction to environmental education. Children can inquire and learn about where the products came from, who made them, and what else they can be.

Elementary + Middle

Research has clearly shown that sitting in rows of desks all day and working out of only one spot prevents students from collaborating, sharing ideas, and experiencing their best learning outcomes. Our multifunctional furniture supports students and educators to teach and learn in different ways. Whether collaborating in a group or requiring individual study time, our furniture can be quickly reconfigured into different learning zones as needed. The adjustability of our core pieces also allows your learning spaces to grow with your students. The furniture can additionally support deeper environmental education, as students learn more about the life cycle of products from raw materials to the finished pieces in their classrooms.

High School + Common Spaces

High School years are often when the most flexibility is needed within education environments to support the many different learning styles of students. It’s also the time in young people’s lives when they spend the most time at school and potentially have the greatest challenges socially and academically. This is why it’s so important to create spaces that not only support students in those challenges, but are also calming, inspiring and a pleasure to be in.
